Human Trafficking Forum
"Moving from Conversation to Commitment"
Thursday February 10, 2022
7:00 p.m. via Zoom
Thank you to everyone who joined us on February 10, 2022 for our impacting forum! In honor of National Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Month, the Social Action Committee continued its campaign launched in January 2022 by hosting the Human Trafficking Forum: "Moving from Conversation to Commitment". The purpose of this forum was to raise awareness of the detrimental effects of human trafficking and sexual assault through different platforms. The program's goal was to educate the community on knowing the signs of human trafficking and strategize on steps to stop predators from coercing men, women, children, and the LGBTQ community into sexual slavery. The panelists spoke on all aspects of human trafficking including: awareness, prevention, legislation, community care and community action.
